At Eyemouth Freezers we require a high intake of seasonal employees every June to provide for the seasonal harvest and processing which runs into September. Eyemouth Freezers for the Future

The Company has recently completed its ambitious 2.6M improvement program which began in 2016. This has included upgrades to seasonal processing and contract packing lines, driving efficiency and increasing throughput / capacity across site. Particular attention has been given to improving efficiency and decreasing energy use to reduce the Company's carbon footprint for the future in conjunction with the objectives set out in our environmental policy.

Eyemouth Freezers Sugar Challenge

In regards to consistently providing the highest quality product, we never rest on our laurels. Eyemouth Freezers, and our growing partner Scottish Borders Produce, are always looking at new and innovative ways to improve the quality of our core product, the humble Pea. Since the 2014 season we have been trending Total Sugar Contents in regards to variety, variety type, area grown and grade. This allows us to create a sweetness profile, and over the coming years we hope that this will allow us to identify high performing varieties that not only allow us to maintain consistency, but ensure that only the sweetest garden peas make it to your table.

Eyemouth Freezers goes Veggie

In April Eyemouth Freezers began co-packing vegetarian sausage products. This involved a substantial investment in a dedicated allergen line to handle soya, egg and gluten. This also meant introducing a second dedicated crimp seal bagging unit. This will allows us to further expand the current services that we can offer our customers, as a co-packer for their intermediate frozen product.
